Son of Shackleton (TB) and Kodiak (MB). Neruda sports a fleece that is exotic in color and extremely fine. His sire, Shackleton, is 9 years of age and still maintains a baby-fine fleece. Neruda's crias are extremely fine, yet dense and free of guardhair. They typically have beautiful heads and dense bone. Neruda was awarded 1st place in his class and color champion at CABA 2000, 1st place at the 2000 AOBA fleece show, and 1st place at the 2000 AOBA fleece show.
Dam:
Lavender
| Medium Silver Grey |
Chilean Reliable foundation female with ample milk and easy births. Low micron count at the age of 9 years makes her an excellent foundation female.
This lovely female came into the world just days before Christmas, and what a present she turned out to be! Solid light silver grey without a spot make her a grey breeders dream come true and her perfect conformation completes the package. She doesn't even have the normal rose grey tips on her cria fleece and seems to glow platinum silver when you look at her.
Her light silver grey sire, Neruda, is part of the lineup of grey herdsires from Alpacas de la Patagonia. His exotic color and fine fleece are well-known in the colored alpaca world. Frosty's dam, Lavender, is a solid silver import that maintains a low micron at the age of 9, gives birth easily and has ample milk for her crias. Lavender's 2001 cria, Patagonia's Maya, was the high selling huacaya in the 2001 AOBA auction and went on to do well in the showring.
Frosty Blue gave birth to a beautiful Bay Black female from Cormorant that is slated to be in our Spring 08 showstring. Frosty is currently bred to Compadre and, according to their skin biopsies, should be a great match!!
(Price does not include the cria but she can certainly be added)
